Amber Mediation – Cyrenians
Edinburgh & East Lothian
We work across Edinburgh and East Lothian providing mediation and support to families with teenagers and young adults. Our personal advisers offer individual support to everyone involved, and our mediators work with families to find a positive way forward that everyone agrees on. Cyrenians ‘Amber’ model describes a dual approach to helping young people and their families overcome conflict and other destructive behaviour patterns.
Early Intervention Partnerships – RockTrust & Cyrenians
Edinburgh
Focusing on prevention, this project aims to tackle youth homelessness at its cause – providing intervention, support and training to young people aged 14+ and their families.
Through educational workshops, supporting teachers and professionals to recognise the signs, and working with families struggling with difficult relationships at home, the EIP supports many young people.
Move on
Young people who have been supported by Link Living.
We match volunteer befrienders with young people aged 16-25 who are making the transition from living in supported accommodation to managing their own tenancy and living independently.
Move on
Edinburgh & Glasgow
We match volunteer mentors to vulnerable young people aged 14-25 to support them to achieve goals and reach their full potential.
The young people we support are displaying “at risk” signs. These signs may include poor performance at school, truanting, offending, welfare issues, lack of positive social networks, anxiety or being bullied.
The Intergenerational Practice Toolkit – Citadel Youth Centre
Edinburgh
The aim of the project is to train and support young people at risk of disengaging from school, to facilitate intergenerational activity with older people, and to present a record of their work to the wider community.
Foyer Futures – Aberdeen Foyer
Aberdeenshire
The Foyer works with young people P7+ who are facing difficulties in their lives and have become disengaged from education (or perhaps statutory services), those who have either been excluded or at risk of exclusion, those who are disengaged and have low attendance, those who are not attaining anticipated potential and those who are not in training or employment.
