A Way Home Scotland is a national coalition that exists to end youth homelessness in Scotland.
Our focus is prevention, partnership and innovation achieved through working together, sharing best practice and influencing decision-makers and shaping policy. We inspire and facilitate change by promoting and developing preventative strategies to end youth homelessness.
The National coalition brings together lead people from across sectors, we have in fact a diverse membership, from education, health, justice, housing and homelessness sectors. We have contributed to the Homelessness and Rough Action Sleeping Group (HARSAG) and have led on the development of the first Youth Homelessness Prevention Pathway for care-leavers. We have also established a youth steering group ‘Aff the Streets’ to ensure young people’s voices directly shape and influence the work of the coalition and ensure that the views and experiences of young people are leading change.
